Overview
In mid-2024, Datasaur evolved from its playful dinosaur branding to a more refined visual identity; introducing a new logo, color palette, and tone aimed at establishing a more professional presence. This shift impacted nearly every visual touchpoint, especially the company website, which serves as its public face. I led the rollout of these brand updates across the organization, starting with a full revamp of the website to align with the new direction.
Challenges
Tight deadline: Key pages had to be updated before a specific launch date, requiring careful planning and coordination across the design and engineering teams.
Outdated components: The website’s existing components no longer aligned with the new brand guidelines and updated design direction, so every component needed to be redesigned and refreshed.

Process
Redesigning the components
After much consideration, we decided to create a new website design system, treating the old one as an artifact. This new design system aligns with the engineering plan to restructure the website and build more reusable components, ensuring we can implement future brand guideline updates quickly and efficiently.
I got a head start on creating a new UI kit aligned with the latest brand guidelines, allowing other designers to focus on using the new components. I remained responsible for maintaining these components, developing new ones as needed, while continuing to work on my assigned pages.
Timeline and implementation
The website update was just one part of the broader brand guideline refresh. Unlike other assets, the website had a tighter deadline, as we aimed to update key pages before a specific date. I assumed the role of Product Manager for this refresh, coordinating closely with the Marketing Advisor and CEO to prepare the timeline and provide regular project updates. I distributed the work among all designers, assigning specific pages with prioritized tasks to ensure we met the target launch date for the new website.
Once a page was designed and approved, engineers implemented it. I then partnered with the Marketing Project Manager to review the implemented pages, provide feedback, and approve them for publishing.
